anatomicals face masks, in depth review

– BEAUTY –

When anatomicals* sent me their face masks, I was over the moon as I really wanted to try some of their products. I know call me crazy I HAD NEVER TRIED ONE OF THEIR PRODUCTS BEFORE?!!! but now I have and I am SUPER happy with these face masks. They kindly sent me 4 different face masks all targeting different things:

– I feel the need, the need for seaweed. calming algae face mask

– the hottie tottie is never spotty. anti – blemish face mask.

– makes your skin brighter. (if not you) strawberry + yarrow face mask

– the toning cucumber face mask. lettuce give thanks for it

In the UK you can get anatomicals face masks from Urban Outfitters and most of their products from Superdrug and ASOS. I discovered anatomicals through their Instagram, which is really great and you will want to follow, trust me..

Most of these face masks come in packs of 3 and they are around £3.50, so around £1.16 each which I think is pretty good. If they are targeting a specific thing such as anti-blemish and it works, then it is definitely worth the £1.16 each. I would 100% pay this for these face masks. As a whole I think the packaging of their face masks are really simple, but effective. They are very bright and eye catching, if I see something in the shop that is bright then I am going to want to buy it. I was very impressed with the amount of product inside each one and I would say that one face mask would definitely be ok for two faces. When I was trying these face masks my boyfriend was also wearing them, and the face masks would cover both of our faces. All face masks dried really quickly as you only need to leave them on for 10-15 mins (doesnt anyone else sometimes hate waiting like 30-40 minutes for one face mask to dry?)

Before I review them, I just wanted to add that I have REALLY sensitive skin and obviously this is just what the face masks did for my skin, the results might be different for everybody.

Packing & colour –

The colour of the packet was a really lovely Olive green colour. When I opened the face mask and the product came out I was shocked that the colour was a bright turquoise colour, I thought it was going to be green. Nevertheless, this colour is stunning! I loved the bright blue on my face.

When the face mask was on –

– It stung around my nose for a couple of mins after I had applied all of the product.

– The face mask smelt like mens aftershave.

– The consistency was really creamy and thick and it was really opaque

– Very quick drying! which made me very happy!

After face mask –

– Face felt really refreshed and smooth

– My face felt cleansed

– Having the face mask on made me feel really calm in general, but I didn’t really see how it made my face calm down afterwards.

the hottie tottie is never spotty. anti – blemish face mask.

packaging & colour –

I loved the colour of the packet! pink is my favourite colour so I was immediately drawn to use this face mask because of the colour. The contents inside was white and it was quite a thin face mask. It reminded me of moisturiser, it looked like I had just felt moisturiser on my face.

When the face mask was on –

– Stinging around my nose and under my left eye.

– Creamy but the consistency was really thin.

– Smells like talcum powder with a hint of a berry scent

– Felt really cooling on my face, it felt like the face mask went cold on my face.

After face mask –

– OMG YOU GUYS, THIS FACE MASK REDUCED REDNESS LIKE NOTHING I HAVE EVER BEFORE!! My face wasn’t red anymore and I’m not even just saying that. After I took my makeup off my face was slightly red, then it went down a couple of minutes later. I noticed a massive difference in the morning as my face is normally red, but when I woke up the next day MY FACE WASNT RED!! I was over the moon, completely ecstatic and shocked I must say! Having a naturally red face drives me crazy, I will definitely be purchasing another one of these for sure!

– Face was smooth

– Didn’t dry out my skin at all

– No little blemishes on my face after using it

makes your skin brighter. (if not you) strawberry + yarrow face mask

Packaging & colour-

The packet is a lovely bright red colour. The face mask itself colour was a bit like the anti blemish one, but it was more thick and very opaque.

When the face mask was on –

– Stinging on cheeks and around my nose

– My face felt really tight especially around my nose, under my eyes and on my forehead.

– If you have ever smelt The Body Shop’s Strawberry scented products, then this is exactly what this smells like. If you haven’t smelt it, then it basically smells like artificial strawberries.

After face mask-

– My skin was really smooth

– My skin felt very very moisturised and not dry at all

– I did have a bit of redness by my jaw on my right side of face.

– My face looked illuminated shall I say, and a bit shiny.

the toning cucumber face mask. lettuce give thanks for it

Packing & colour –

I think this colour packaging is stunning, it is a lovely teal colour. The colour of the face mask was a light mint colour, I was obssed with it.

When the face mask was on –

– My cheeks were burning

– No stinging at all, not like the other face masks

– Smelt like cucumbers / watermelon sweets ( I understand they are completely different lol)

After face mask-

– Face was smooth

– Face felt throughly cleansed

– I didn’t really notice any toning, not that I expected to put it on and my face been like really really skinny and toned. I didn’t really see any difference from this face mask.

Once again, thank you so much for anatomicals for sending me these face masks and helping me find a cure for my natrually red face!

Have you tried any of these face masks? or have you tried any other anatomicals products? I would love to know.

    1. Hahaha thank you! I thought I would chuck in some funny pictures instead of having some normal ones. I tried to make wearing a face mask look good anyway. You should, they are really good for money. Really worth spending your money on these for sure! x

  2. Admittedly i’ve never tried their products before! I just love the names of the products, they just seem so cool!
I’m not a big fan of face masks unless they’re natural and organic, cause like, well, it’s your face and my face is well, annoying to say the least!
I loved reading this! Especially the fact that your review was completely honest! Thank you

    1. I love the names too! I think it is so cool and quirky how they name them. I agree with what you mean. When you are adding stuff to your face it can irritate it and make it worse then maybe it was before. Thank you so much. xx
